Do you accept custom orders?

We currently accept custom orders/requests for fabric substitutions only. Fabric selection is limited to what we currently have in stock, however, you may have your own fabric sent to us for custom orders if you wish.

Please note: we do *not* discount items for which you send us fabric, and we can only accept new and unwashed 100% cotton quilting fabric for your order. Please contact us using a custom request form.

We do not accept custom orders for design modifications, or for products we don't currently offer in the shop. Coupons and discounts do not apply to custom orders/requests.

Everything you see in our shop is already made and ready to ship. Therefore we cannot accept requests for specific fabric pattern placement or substitutions for in-stock items. Thank you!


How can I pay?

You can checkout using your debit or credit card, or your PayPal account.

Is my transaction secure?

All transactions are processed securely through PayPal or Stripe.  At no time will we ask for, or have access to any of your credit card or bank information.


Will you share my contact information?

Absolutely not!  We will never share your contact information with anyone, and we will never spam you with unwanted email.


When will you ship my order?

Orders ship weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please note: We do not ship on national holidays.  If you place your order before 2PM EST the day BEFORE a scheduled shipping day, your order will ship on the next shipping day.

For example: If you place an order on Monday before 2pm EST, your order will ship on Tuesday. If you place an order on Monday after 2pm EST, or on Tuesday, your order will ship Thursday. Please contact us if you have any questions!

Upon shipment of your purchase, U.S. customers will receive a shipping confirmation email from Paypal;  International customers will receive a shipping confirmation email from USPS.com.


How do orders ship?

We will ship your order via USPS (either First Class or Priority, depending on weight).  Domestic shipments come with a delivery confirmation number with which you may track your package.  Please note that we cannot guarantee deliveries by a specific date.  We are only able to provide an approximate delivery date based on USPS estimates.  Insurance is not included in the shipping fee.  If you require a faster method, insurance, or other services, please contact us for a shipping quote before you place your order.


What about international shipments?

We are glad to ship internationally!

We use USPS First Class to ship international packages.  Please allow up to six weeks for delivery.  Tracking service is NOT included, nor is insurance.  If you would like tracking service and/or insurance for your order, you must purchase Priority Mail through USPS.  Please contact us for a quote prior to placing your order.

Please check with your country's custom's department if you have any questions regarding what taxes or duties may be due at time of your delivery (as it is the buyer's responsibility to pay them), as well as what is permitted to import into your country.  We cannot be held responsible for any duties, taxes or fees due at delivery.





PLEASE NOTE: All custom's forms on international packages will list the contents, disclosing the full USD value of your order.  We will not mark any international shipments as "gift" - it is illegal to do so.

**If your order exceeds $50, we strongly advise USPS Priority Mail. Please contact us before purchasing for a Priority Mail quote - this is the ONLY way we are able to track and insure international packages. If you do not request Priority Mail, we cannot be held responsible for lost packages.  Thank you!**

We believe in recycling.  Everything we use to ship your order is either recycled, recyclable, or biodegradable/compostable.

Please reuse ♻ recycle - every little bit helps!


What if I'm not happy with my purchase?

Your satisfaction is very important to us!  If you’re not happy with your purchase, please contact us at alecia@madbird.net to arrange a return.

*Returns must be received back to us within 14 days of receipt of purchase. Once that time has elapsed we are unable to accept returns/exchanges*

Items must be received back in the original unused condition in which they were sent out. Once your return is received and inspected, we will issue a refund for the purchase price of the item(s) returned, less the shipping fee. Please note that the return shipping fee is the buyer’s responsibility and the original shipping fee is non-refundable.

**All seasonal/holiday items, custom orders/requests, as well as items bought on sale or with a discount cannot be returned and are non-refundable/exchangeable.**


What does "pattern placement will vary" mean?

Pattern placement refers to the placement of specific motifs, designs, or patterns that are present on the fabric(s) of each product.

While we will never use a different fabric than what is shown on the pictures in the product listing; we cannot guarantee the placement of the fabric designs or motifs on your item will exactly match the pictured item, as each cut of fabric for each item will be a little different.



Do you sell wholesale or by consignment?

At this time, we are not accepting any wholesale orders or reorders.

No, we do not enter into consignment agreements.


Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes, we do.  Simply click the "Gift Certificates" link in the product category column, and follow the prompts to purchase a gift certificate redeemable on our site.  You do not need a Paypal account to purchase the certificate, but the recipient will need a Paypal account to redeem it.  Once it is purchased, you may either email the gift certificate directly to the recipient, or print it at home for giving.


When will you list new products?
